“Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts – not a free society.”
Finally, someone who has enough guts to call BO on his stupidity. Too bad he’s the only voice.
I placed my order two days ago, on Thursday morning and paid for USPS priority shipping. I got an e-mail notification of order received almost immediately (always a good sign) and then on Friday (yesterday) I got the shipping notice. When we got home in the early afternoon today, there was a box outside our door. You guessed it. Our pics were already here!
Now, even if my pictures had gotten here next Monday or Tuesday, I’d still be happy, but it sure was nice not having to sit on pins and needles all weekend. Instead some of the pics are already on the wall with more to go up as soon as I get a couple more frames.
I’m not sure what I think about this. The grocery owner has a point that it’s either hide it in the products or point it out on the receipt, but maybe it’s an issue of delivery of the info? I know I’d be mad if I didn’t know until I got to the check-out and I’d probably leave all my cart and walk out!
Heather and I went to the same church growing up and when we got into college, the same university. Now we both have little girls who are in that nebulous time frame between one and two years old. (They seem to have the same toys and the same nicknames too!) I really enjoy reading Heather’s blog on a regular basis!
This video is hilarious:
I also have Heather to thank for my new favorite butter ’cause she recommended Kerrygold Butter and made me want to try some too. I must be honest and say that I didn’t really see what the big deal was, but then I tried it on sourdough… YUMMMMMMMMY!!!!!
I don’t know if it’s just that I’ve had really crabby grocery checkers and managers lately, or if it’s a sign of a bigger problem, but it seems like customer service is really slipping in the food retail market! It kind of surprises me because you’d think there would be greater competition with the tighter economy, but instead they are acting like they are not being paid to serve the customer.
I am not saying that they should bend of break rules, but something as simple as, “Did you realize that there is a limit on these sales items?” or even a genuine, “I’m really sorry for your inconvenience” instead of acting as if THEY are paying ME to shop there. Not only would they keep me as a customer, but they would also save themselves the hassle of having to return the item and refund my money! I guess it wouldn’t bother me as much if the managers behaved even a little better, but lately, I find they are even worse than the checkers! What gives?
Part of me wants to take revenge and become a super coupon queen who never pays them anything to get the stuff. LOL.
No, I don’t mean tolerance in the sense that one of the presidential candidates seems to relish using it, but rather as my dear friend, Hindsfeet, has defined it. Check it out!
On Thursday, September 25, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 PM, all guests to any Cold Stone Creamery location in the nation will be treated to a 3 oz. serving of icecream. Donations will be accepted to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The two free flavors available are: Marshmallow ice cream with OREO® Cookies, Chocolate Chips and Fudge or Nutter Butter® ice cream with White Chocolate Chips, Kit Kat® and Yellow Cake.
I checked the Cold Stone Website and it’s advertised there as well!
We’re going to walk over there (about a mile away from our home) after dinner tonight!
Oh, and they do suggest a donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation. One of the (at the time) kids at our church received a wish fulfillment from them during his battle with cancer a few years ago. We also have met other kids who have been blessed and encouraged by MAW’s work. It’s a great cause worthy of donation…
